lyrics

You be the Bonny baby I’ll be the Cly-Clyde,
Let me take you, take on another ride
I’ll get you back to your papa by teatime
We’re gonna ease time, we’re gonna freeze time
I’ll be your alibi, I’ll be your samurai.

Got what you wanted in the end right,
Didn’t see you coming in my headlights,
Me and the monkey gonna go on strike,
Breaking out of prison like I’m Dolomite.

I’m only what I’m like when I’m on the mic
I keep my friends tight.

Plug my mic in, keep fighting
Not a black thing, not a white thing
Reading Richard Wright getting lost like lightning
I’m like the kids in that movie called The Shining
I’ve got a plan more simple than Simon

She only stays with me because she thinks she has to,
I wanna know but I’m too scared to ask her,
I can’t write because my hands are made of plasma,
She only stays with me because she thinks she has to,
I wanna know but I’m too scared to ask her,
I can’t write because my hands are made of plaster,
Wickedness is getting easier to master.

All this losing got me into new things
I’m in the pawn shop pawning the diamond rings,
I buy a gun with the money that they bring,
She’s with me, she’s close but we aint faking.

Didn’t see you coming in my headlights,
Me and the monkey gonna go on strike,
Breaking out of prison like I’m Dolomite.

about

Earthling Paris, France

Earthling's 1st LP Radar was released in 1995. An intoxicating mix of raw Hip Hop production, live instrumentation and off the wall rhymes, it was heralded as the next step in the progression of the Bristol based Trip Hop groups, showcasing an expansive & playful psychedelia.

In 2008 the pair were working together again & the resultant album Insomniacs' Ball was released at the start of 2011.
